OHM Elements

OHM’s elements are meant to be worn as a set or separately, depending on what you are trying to achieve, represent, or work on. There are five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. According to ancient Chinese astrology, all things arise from and return to the earth and are composed of these elements, humans included. This is why we hold that it’s so important for us to know our connection to them.

Because these five elements arose from the same place they are interdependent, being simultaneously created and controlled by one another. No one is more powerful than another, for each have defined strengths and weaknesses, and yet have powerful influence over each other.

The Creation cycle of The Elements:
From Metal we receive Water. From Water we receive Wood. From Wood we receive Fire. From Fire we receive Earth. From Earth we receive Metal.

The Control cycle of The Elements:
Metal (in the form of a container) holds Water. Water (as a nourishing element), helps to grow Wood. Wood is burnt (in the form of fuel) to control Fire. Fire burns all other elements down (in the form of heat) into Earth. Earth compresses and manipulates Metal.

The Destruction cycle of The Elements:
Fire melts Metal. Water extinguishes Fire. Earth absorbs Water. Wood (as roots of a tree) holds Earth together or breaks it apart. Metal (as axes cut down trees) destroys Wood.
