David Macrow - September Update

September 24, 2015

It has been nine months since David suffered his serious stroke at the beginning of 2015 and we appreciate the last online update was some time ago.

It has been an extremely tough journey for David, his family and friends but from a very poor prognosis he has been steadily making progress albeit slowly. During the summer David finally left Poole Hospital and moved into a stroke rehabilitation centre near Bournemouth. Over the last few months, with excellent support from the staff, his speech, physical movement and general demeanour have improved in all areas. He recently visited the shop on a day out to Swanage and now has outings in the locality of his care centre.

The shop continues to prosper, and hopefully David will be able return and once again use his considerable jewellery knowledge for the benefit of all of us, although this will be a little time off yet.

On behalf of David, thanks for all the supportive messages and best wishes sent to David by e-mail, blog, phone and from customers in the shop. These are much appreciated by all concerned and are passed on to him on the regular visits to see him.

We will endeavour to bring further news in due course.
